Wayne Peterson has served as St. Barnabas' pastor since 1985, when he was called to be pastor/developer of a new congregation in northwest Plymouth. A native of Cokato, MN, he has degrees from Gustavus Adolphus College (1977) and Luther Seminary (1981). Prior to coming to St. Barnabas, he served as Associate Pastor at Richfield Lutheran Church in south Minneapolis from 1981-1985.

Pastor Wayne and his wife, Jackie, have two adult children, Benjamin and Kaitlyn.

Ben, his wife, Michelle, and son, Beckett, live in Plymouth. Ben is a graduate of Northwestern University and has a Ph.D. in Kinesiology & Exercise Science from the University of Minnesota. He is currently Director of Research and Analytics at Catapult Sports. Michelle is a graduate of the University of Minnesota where she played on the Gopher hockey team for four years. She is an Occupational Therapist, working primarily with children. And as for Beckett, well, just ask Pastor Wayne for the latest photos.

Kait lives in Northeast Minneapolis and works as a graphic designer for Nilfisk in Brooklyn Park. She is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College and is a member of the Minnesota Freeze Australian football club.
