Pastor Amber Ingalsbe
Amber Ingalsbe is a native of Paynesville, MN, where her church family was Paynesville Lutheran Church. She graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa in 2003 with majors in religion and psychology and minors in music and English.
She spent the first two years after college with the ELCA Young Adults in Global Mission ministry, working as a full-time pastoral ministry volunteer at a small multi-ethnic Methodist congregation on the east side of London, England. She then enrolled in Harvard Divinity School and spent two of her three years there serving as a chaplain intern in Lutheran Campus Ministry at Boston University.
Since the ELCA requires that its pastors study at least one year at an ELCA seminary, Amber completed her seminary study at Luther Seminary in St. Paul in 2009. She then served an internship year at a small parish in Buhl, MN. Amber was ordained in 2010 and has since been serving as associate pastor of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Marshall, MN.
Pastor Amber’s parents continue to live near Paynesville. She has two younger brothers, one in Eagan and one in Milwaukee. Pastor Amber shares her house with a Cockapoo named Ranger.
