Sailors: Grades K-2
Sailors: Age 3 to Grade 2 Wednesdays 6:00-7:10 p.m.
Our Sailors experience music, art, and story each week.
Lessons are lectionary-based, which means that the activities are based on the Bible story read in worship on the upcoming Saturday/Sunday.
Music is led by our Choral Scholar, Nai-Chia Chen. Nai-Chia [ny-zhah] is a native of Taiwan and is continuing her graduate studies in vocal performance at the University of Minnesota. Sailors sing during the worship services about four times a year.
Parents are invited to participate with their children. Parents may also attend the Adult class from 6:10-6:55 or participate in the Parent Huddle.
For the safety of the children, parents are required to come to the Gardenview Room at 7:10 to personally pick up their son or daughter.
Sunday Sailor Option
For Sailor families for whom Wednesday evening doesn’t work well, we will again have a “Family Sunday School” option on Sunday mornings at 10:10. Families worship at 9:00 and then parents and kids participate together in the Family Sunday School. The schedule follows that of Wednesday Night Lighthouse, so on weeks where there is no Lighthouse, there is no Family Sunday School the following Sunday. Contact Jenny Wagner for more information.
