Music lessons, jazz concerts, art shows, theatre rehearsals, poetry smackdowns and more - that's what's waiting for you at St. Barnabas Center for the Arts!
We offer private lessons for just about anyone on anything you'd want to study in music - piano, organ, guitar, voice, woodwinds, brass, percussion, strings, even music theory. And if you have young children (5 or under) we host the Family Music Center's Music Together program.
If you're into jazz - or would like to see what it's all about - our Jazz@StBarney's series is just for you. Once a month professional jazz artists come out from downtown to showcase their virtuosity in 60-75-minute concerts that will have your toes tapping and a beat in your soul.
Our Gardenview Gallery hosts month-long solo exhibitions by visual artists from local and regional scenes. Watercolors, oils, pastels, computer art, photos from the Hubble Space Telescope - we've had them all over the last year and are looking forward to new visions this season.
And you'll be pleasantly to discover how much fun listening to good writing can be, whether it's poetry or prose, Mark Twain, Taylor Mali or Spider Robinson - with our literary series, Page to Stage.
St. Barnabas Center for the Arts is a program of St. Barnabas Lutheran Church supporting the arts through education, nurturing and sharing of creative works. Support for the Center is provided in part by grants from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council and the Crossroads Group of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
