Seminary of the Streets: Focus on Justice
This joint ministry of the Minneapolis Area Synod and Faith in the City is offered on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Each night begins with a meal, usually around 5:15, followed by a speaker or presentation on issues of justice. To find current topics and to register, click .
Wine, Women and the Word
We meet on Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm at Green Mill in the Kelly Inn (Hwy 55 and 494). Join us for a glass of wine (or your beverage of choice) and informal conversation about a faith topic. No need to prepare or have in-depth Bible knowledge. If you've always been a little intimidated by Bible study, then this is the group for you! Each week will feature a self-contained topic - so drop in when you can. Just e-mail Pastor Jacqui to let her know that you will be coming.
JustWomen Continues on Thursday mornings
This group is just for women with a focus on issues of justice. We meet from 9:30-11:00 in the Fireside Room. Childcare is provided. This fall, we will be wandering through the Gospel of Luke. Of all the gospels, Luke is the most focused on issues of justice and care for those who are often on the outskirts of society. So, bring your Bible and venture through Luke this fall. Whether you are new to the Bible or are an old pro at Bible study, the lively conversation will be sure to stimulate your imagination about what it means to be a JustWoman.
BWCA Trip
Last summer's women's trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe area was a great success, so we will be planning another trip for 2013. This is a great opportunity to explore God's amazing creation in a place that has remained mainly untouched by development. Check back for more information on the 2013 trip with Pastor Jacqui.
